Anthrax



Anthrax is  an American heavy metal band from New York, founded in 1981 by guitarists Scott Ian and Danny Lilker. Since then, the band released 10 studio albums and 20 singles. In 1980s the band was one of the most popular on the heavy metal scene. In 1980s, Anthrax were dubbed one of the "Big Four" along side with MetallicaMegadeth and Slayer. As of 2012, Anthrax has sold over 15 million albums worldwide.

The suffered changes numerous times, following the departure of drummer Dave Weiss and bassist Kenny Kushner, several musicians replaced both members' roles. In addition, there were multiple vocalists involved in Anthrax. Scott Ian, however, has been in the band since its formation. Ian and Charlie Benante, who joined Anthrax in 1983, are the only constant members that appear on every album.
